WET SONGS party:
performances and DJ set with Nina Santes and her team
Saturday 12 October, 7pm
CCN¹
— 5 €
In 2021, the CCN¹ inaugurated the artist association project with Nina Santes, who has since created the solo Peeling Back. Her project COVEN brought together a group of women in Orléans and Vatan to exchange practices and knowledge. A podcast and an exhibition record this rich encounter, which formed a sisterly community over the course of a season. Another meeting with Mercedes Dassy, performed at the CCN¹, brought these two artists together, based on their work with text and voice and their current concerns. This autumn sees the end of the association with Nina Santes. During her residency for her new creation Wet Songs, a unique party celebrates three years of association by showcasing her creative work, her committed collaborators and, of course, a dancefloor!
On the programme: a collective performance of Wet Songs in connection with the work in progress. Then a conversation with Camille Louis, playwright and activist, about the questions that drive the Wet Songs project: how can thinking in terms of water and liquids be a driving force behind relationships and intimate and collective transformations? And a DJ set with Wol aka Bellatrix, singer, bassist and former world beatboxing champion.
